How does it work?
Once your payment is processed you will receive an email with login details and a URL. Once you log in you will be walked through adding information that will then be displayed at a unique URL like DrYourName.GPwebsite.com.au
Some of the info is required and you can choose whether or not it is displayed, other information is optional.
Tell me about the 7 day free trial
We offer an optional fully featured 7 day free trial, you don't even need to provide your credit card.
If your trial ends and you haven't paid, your site will be disabled and the data will be kept for 30 days i.e. you can pay the subscription and pick up where you left off.
After 30 days your account will be completely deleted.
I don't want any more patients, do I need to promote my website?
No. It just has to exist.
You will receive email notification that your website exists plus a dated tax invoice which will prove when your website was started.
What is the difference between account editing and site editing?
Account editing is where you will find contact and billing information that we need for invoices etc.
Site editing is where you edit what is displayed on your website. e.g. your display email address may be different to your billing email address, or your legal name may be different to your day to day display name.
Can I change my web address (URL)?
Changing your web address - also known as the URL or subdomain - is not a trivial matter for a number of reasons.
If you have made an embarrassing typo or something has gone wrong with our system we will do what we can for you.
If you have simply changed your mind there will be a $55 inc GST fee.
What is it with Capitalised First Letters?
Which is easier to read
drrobertthomas@gpwebsite.com.au
or
DrRobertThomas@GPwebsite.com.au
It is a rhetorical question; What would the world be like without rhetorical questions?
It is fine to capitalise your domain name and email address wherever you use them and I highly recommend it, especially if you have a domain where two words have the same joining letter e.g. drruthhoward compared to DrRuthHoward. It makes it easier to read and also makes it stand out a bit in people's minds since it isn't done a lot.
